Welcome to the World of the Trenarwyn Pomeranians.....................

Caroline with Elvis

My name is Caroline and with my mother Maureen we are proud to introduce you to the Trenarwyn Pomeranians.

Trenarwyn was first registered in 1993 in just Maureen’s name and then in May 1994 my name was added. The name is a very old Cornish surname and means a fair house in the middle of a field – and yes we do live in the middle of fields!

We have had a long history in showing, having originally shown Welsh Ponies under the affix Penmara. We showed successfully at County level until swapping full time to the dogs.

Golden Retrievers joined the house in 1983 with Tara followed shortly after by Zacharius. These came from the great Camrose and Westley bloodlines and would be a start of breeding our first bitch puppy Trenarwyn Saffron Queen who would prove to be a successful show bitch in the breed ring and especially Junior Handling with my youngest sister Victoria.

We attended our first exemption show in July 1989 and this would prove to be the beginning of a great hobby!

Our first Pomeranian joined us in 1991, Maureen bought a little red bitch called Tookeyes Cherry Pie by Ch Tookeyes Toy Boy from Wendy Trezona. Followed in 1992 by her 12 month old son Tamsmorna Teddybear .

The first black joined us in February 1994 – Tookeyes Black Gold he was just 12 months old and came from Ruth Keyes of the famous Tookeyes Kennels. This would be the start of our love affair with black poms.

Our first puppy was born in December 1992 by ceasaren section out of Cherry Pie by Thelbern Cuddly Duddly . The resulting single orange sable puppy bitch Tia has proven to be a fantastic foundation for the kennels – her name Trenarwyn Legassick Magic Masquerade . Until very recently she has been the dam of all retained stud dogs in the kennel, Trenarwyn Ebony Master , Trenarwyn The Puzzle Master and Ch Trenarwyn Ebony Statesman.

Tia still sleeps on my bed and is top dog here, she is one in a million and the greatest character you will ever meet!

We have continued to strive for sound dogs without compromising on type and quality.

We cannot leave this page without mentioning Carol Smith and her beautiful Champion Moonrae Ebony Hotshot , Oliver who was by Trenarwyn Ebony Master . He gave so much joy to all who knew him and proved a highly successful showdog – Top Pom 2000/2001, Top Toy 2000, Third Top Dog All Breeds 2000. He sired our first Champion from a grandmother and grandson mating our little king Elvis - Ch Trenarwyn Ebony Statesman.
